It is an important driver to alleviate poverty and bring in economic upliftment while reducing social exclusion. This study focuses on financial inclusion in the Mahuapur Village at Bhadohi District of Uttar Pradesh, focusing on incomes and expenditures, bank loans and subsidies, and general awareness around money. We interviewed households with varied socioeconomic backgrounds to gauge the knowledge and use of credit systems and government policies, as well as the plans and aspirations of the people. Our findings broadly suggest that social structure plays a significant role in the overall development of the village, and the poor need to be acknowledged to make a change. Due to decreasing farm size per family, over time the income from the non-agricultural forms of occupation has taken pre-dominant role over the agriculture and cultivation-based income. Although there is a positive correlation between income and food, the consumption habits across the caste system remain relatively stable. The amount of money spent on food, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJAY) has a positive impact in terms of saving habits and access to banks but Self Help Groups (SHGs) formation and penetration of Microfinance are necessary steps to achieve inclusion of the unserved and the underserved in the mainstream banking practices. 2020-12-18T00:00:00+01:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/DMEJM/article/view/1473 Consumers’ Ad Engagement in Social Media: Conceptualising a Holistic Model 2021-08-25T06:30:15+02:00 Kavita Sharma [email protected] Emmanuel Elioth Lulandala [email protected] Interactive nature of social media has transformed how consumers engage with advertisements. This conceptual paper examines the theoretical foundations of ad engagement and attempts to model consumers’ engagement with social media advertising. The paper is guided by the question “How do consumers engage with social media advertising? In addressing this question, we bring together disparate strands of engagement research and present a holistic model of consumers’ ad engagement. Our analysis indicates that the effectiveness and value of SMA are determined by the engagement process. We advanced a conceptual model that presents ad engagement as a holistic experience of consumers when exposed to ads in social media. We have revealed that the S-D logic of marketing best underlies the ad engagement process theoretically. Moreover, our model posits that consumers’ ad engagement is determined mainly by the attitude towards social media advertising and informational influence. Attitude is determined by perceived usefulness, perceived ease of access, irritation feelings, and entertainment value. The relationship between attitude and ad engagement is moderated by privacy concerns, ad experience, and willingness to co-create value. Ultimately ad engagement enhances co-advertising and the likelihood of actual purchase. The implications of the model to marketers and policymakers are also discussed. As a conceptual paper, this study is limited to extant theoretical and empirical literature in social media, consumer behavior, and engagement. Despite this limitation, the current paper contributes to ad engagement literature by integrating diverse engagement literature into a holistic conceptual model of ad engagement. Moreover, it uniquely amalgamates academics and experts' perspectives of engagement. 2020-12-18T00:00:00+01:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/DMEJM/article/view/1474 Financial Literacy of investors and its relation with Demographic Variables 2021-08-25T06:30:15+02:00 Meenakshi [email protected] Rekha Dhingra [email protected] With the widespread increase in the financial inclusion drives throughout the world shows sufficient evidence that without proper financial literacy financial inclusion cannot be attained completely. The Concept of Non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is not new to business law and its nature has become pervasive as it is legally binding in nature. The real motive behind the signing of NDA is, to control the use and disclosure of confidential information. Particulars shared under Non-disclosure agreements from disclosing party to receiving party leaves no scope of obscurity. So, the information mentioned explicitly is preferred to define the scope of confidential information. The use of such information can be synchronized only if NDA identifies the purpose behind sharing the information. Inceptive part of the research article highlights the scenarios where particularly NDA’s are used in general such as while dealing with the transaction or authorization of product or innovation or being the case of confidential and proprietary information or let it be an offer to a potential partner, investors, etc. After this going by old school steps, hereafter the article talks about the types and forms of Non-disclosure agreements. While volumes can be written on NDA’s in general but this article secondly talks about the controversial clauses in NDA which in general are the seed for dispute, here we have specifically tried to address the increasingly common use of so-called residual clause, perpetual time duration clause and non-compete clause. Thirdly this research article deals with uncertainty in relation to question whether booming use of NDA in company affairs, is a restraint of trade in a growing world. Breach of agreements certainly have an adverse effect in on working of it, but it has been seen from various judgments of courts in India, that in certain circumstances breach of NDA is said to be justifiable. Hence in cessation critical, analysis of the same has been attempted in the fourth step of the article. 2020-12-18T00:00:00+01:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/DMEJM/article/view/1481 Assessing the impact of Fossil Fuel Subsidy on Environment: A study in Indian Context 2021-08-25T06:30:15+02:00 Shivani Mehta [email protected] Fossil Fuel Subsidy pose a great threat to economic, social and environmental life. Fossil Fuel subsidy are largely undesirable and detrimental to environment and result in increased carbon emissions or environmental damage. India’s fossil fuel consumption has increased since 2000 and energy sector in specific is largely dependent on primary energy sources. Therefore, India subsidised its fossil fuels, with petroleum subsidies being the largest of all. But India being a member of G-20 has pledged to remove Fossil Fuel Subsidy in 2009 and reduce the unwanted consumption. Hence, India has taken key steps in pricing reforms to cut Fossil Fuel Subsidy and ensure sustainable consumption and production. The objective of the study is to show that fossil fuel subsidy is responsible for increase in CO2 emissions and the study proves it by running an OLS regression analysis. The paper also highlights the existence, trends, measures and impact on Fossil Fuel Subsidy with focus on India. 2020-12-18T00:00:00+01:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
