Abstract

Although the subject of twelfth observation is a fundamental contribution of Jain philosophy, however, the popularity of this subject has been immense not only among Jains, but also among scholars and poets of other religions. This subject itself is so heart-wrenching that the mind of the people cannot remain without being attracted. Not only did poets of other religions get attracted to this subject, but they have also composed many 'Twelve Feelings' on it. In this way, there are more than one hundred and twelve emotions available to us today. The importance of this subject is also because these feelings awaken detachment in the mind of worldly people entangled in world, body and pleasures and alert them that all these coincidences are only till the end of life, after that everything is going to change, so Do not let this good time go in vain for worshiping whatever are the essential elements of interest. This human birth does not happen again and again. Independent texts of the twelfth feelings have also been composed by the best masters, in which Kartikeyaanupreksha of Kartikeya and Baras Anuvekkha of Acharya Kunda Kunda are prominent.
