Abstract

This study examines the role of women in developing agriculture in India by adopting strategies for their empowerment. Despite their significant contribution to the agricultural sector, women face various challenges, including limited access to resources, education, and decision-making positions. The study highlights the importance of empowering women in agriculture, discusses the existing challenges, and proposes strategies for enhancing their participation and productivity. The findings suggest that initiatives such as education and training, access to resources, and decision-making positions can play a crucial role in empowering women in agriculture. The study recommends that policymakers and practitioners consider the importance of traditional practices and informal networks in supporting women farmers.
