Hot spots of groundnut pod rot diseases inNorthern Karnataka - A Survey

Abstract

The major hot spot areas of pod rot of groundnut caused by Sclerotiumrolfsii, Rhizoctonia bataticola and Fusarium oxysporum were assessedduring the survey kharif 2018 in the northern parts of Karnataka(Bagalkote, Belagavi, Dharwad and Gadag). Among these, maximumincidence of pod rot was recorded in Khanagav (54.52 %) village ofGokak taluka, followed by Kavalageri (54.08 %) village of Dharwadtaluka and Somapur (50.53 %) village of Hubballi taluka. The minimumincidence of pod rot was recorded in Murgod (16.66 %) village ofSavadatti taluka
