Abstract

Design of wastewater treatment plant and comparison of efficiency between Mylasandra and V-Valley treatment plants in Bangalore urban District have been analysed for designing of better efficient treatmemt plant. Both the treatment plants have been compared and analysed. The results indicates that V-Valley treatment plant is of greater efficiency than that of the mylasandra treatment plant. Thereby we are of the opinion that the attatched growth process which has been employed in the V-Valley treatment plant is more efficient as of the suspended growth process in Mylasandra after comparing its various parameters such as pH, Bio-chemical Oxygen Demand(BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand(COD), Total Suspended Solids(TSS) and Dissolved Oxygen(DO). We have designed a more effective and efficient treatment plant with units capable of treating more capacity of wastewater at an even more efficient rate.
