Abstract
An attempt has been made to determine the mechanical properties of Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) by partial replacement of cement with copper slag and sand by iron ore tailings.The steel fibers with an aspect ratio (l/d) 60 were used in the concrete mix. In volume fraction viz, 0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 by weight of concrete. From the experimental results, it is observed that in comparison with conventional concrete, the percentage of increase in compressive strength is 13.43% and split tensile strength increased to 6.32% and flexure strength increased to 6.52%.Downloads
