Abstract

Generally, schools are considered as places which provide an appropriate learning environment for a child, but the importance of parents and community cannot be ignored. Parent’s attitude towards the adult and siblings in the family contribute significantly to various components of the personality of the child particularly in improving his/her academic performance. The pivotal role of parent’s attitude towards education of their children’s still continues as it has been recognized by the teachers and parents who are essential for the complete development of the personality and career of their children. Gonzalez Pienda, et al. (2002) indicated that “Without parents support, it is hard for teachers to devise academic experiences in helping students learn meaningful content”. In this conceptual/theoretical paper researcher is tried to focus on concept of attitude, parental attitude, importance of parental attitude towards education of their children, impact of parental attitude towards education of their children on their academic achievement, and conclusion.
