Abstract

Television in India is still the main source of infotainment in rural and urban areas. As per EY FICCI M&E 2022 report Television revenue expected to grow at a CAGR of 4-5%& reach Rs 826 billion by 2024.The report further mentioned that TV ad and subscription revenue is pegged to reach Rs 344 billion and Rs 415 billion in 2022, respectively. The report stated that overall TV connections will keep growing at a healthy pace of over 5% per year to cross 67% of Indian households by 2025. It is a commonly held belief that television has more impact over human psychology than any other media. On 7th September, 1927 first ever television was demonstrated in San Francisco.
