Abstract

In the present research paper, an attempt has been made to find out relationship between resi-lience and life satisfaction among persons suffering with physical disability and chronic diseases. It is hypothesized that such persons having high resilience also experienced greater satisfaction in their lives. For this purpose, a sample of 40 persons suffering from physical disability and chronic diseases was taken in age range of 18 to 50 years . “ Satisfaction with life scale”. Developed by Ed Diner and “Brief Resiliency scale” were used for measuring the two variables under study. The data thus collected was subjected to statistical analysis-Correlation Coefficient developed by Person. The result reveals a positive correlation i.e. 0.86 between ‘Resilience’and ‘ life satisfaction’ indicating that such persons having high resilience also experience grater satisfaction in their lives.
