https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/purushartha
<p>Numerous developments have taken place in the field of management in the last century and the present millennium from the perspective of both theory and practice. These developments have not only shown its impact on the economy of nations, technology and business organizations but also on the world society and human psyche. Whether the impact is positive or negative is a subject of debate. With the above thoughts at the back of the mind, School of Management Sciences has taken a novel initiative to add a new dimension into the management thinking by starting a bi-annual journal ‘Purushartha’. The Journal ‘Purushartha’ has been started with an objective to focus primarily on: 1) Blending of ancient Indian management thoughts with the modern management principles, 2) Business ethics, 3) Values, 4) Indian spirituality for modern business</p>Centre for Spiritualism and Human Enrichment, SMS Varanasien-USPURUSHARTHA: THE JOURNAL0975-024XSthitha Prajna Leader: A Marvel of Transformational Leadership Style from Indian Ancient Wisdom

Every problem ends with rise of a leader who is bestowed with the ability of looking through the problem, dissociating with the emotions involved and most importantly influencing others and making it happen. The effectiveness of leadership and measures and metrics of it generate unending enthusiasm for academia, the result of which is various theoretical frameworks that embellish the management literature.Transactionalandtransformationalleadershipstyles-developedbyBurns(1978)andBass(1985)andthe constructive/developmental theory of Kegan which explains the critical personality differences in leaders that lead to different styles are milestones in leadership theories. These theories throw light on the state of consciousness and maturity level of the leader and reflection of the same in his behaviour. The tenets of Ancient Indian Wisdom elucidate the critical qualities that characterize a marvel of leader. The person with these qualities is recognized as ‘Sthitha Prajna’(steadied intellect). The present study is a survey conducted on people in leadership positions about their functioning and with the help of explorative factor analysis it is attempted to identify the ‘Sthitha Prajna’attributes in them. Later, these attributes are weighed against their beliefs in teaching of Bhagavad Gita.V. Janaki TennetiMurali TennetiM. Rajesh

https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/purushartha/article/view/12593
Thirukkural is one of the most consequential works in the realm of Tamil literature. Awashed in blistering insight and an unremitting fount of wisdom, Thirukkural is the most celebrated literature in Tamil. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to consider Thirukkural as a scripture that governs and guides people to lead a worthy life. Strung together as 1330 Couplets, Thirukkural contains 133 chapters each comprising 10 couplets. Each couplet of this classic is steeped in profound meaning and holds rich lessons for all aspects of life. Every chapter deals with a specific topic that expounds on the various facets of life. Undoubtedly, Thirukkural has stood the test of time for over 2000 years and serves as a moral compass for mankind to this day. There is hardly any area of human life that remains untouched by Thirukkural. Admittedly, Leadership themes are no exception. Many couplets in Thirukkural bristle with deep meaning that resonate with the modern-day concept of leadership. Thus, this paper shines more light on how the pithy aphorisms of Thirukkural can be applied to the context of leadership that will leave one rich with granular clarity and a profound understanding.N.R. https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/purushartha/article/view/12594
This paper conducts a bibliometric analysis of the literature on donation-based crowdfunding by identifying important publications, authors, journals, countries, and frequently occurring keywords using VOSviewer. It analyzes a dataset of 701 publications sourced from the SCOPUS database with the help of five bibliometric techniques, including co-citation analysis, citation analysis, co-occurrence analysis, co-authorship, and bibliographic coupling. The citations and co-citation analysis of references reveal that "The dynamics of crowdfunding: An exploratory study" by Mollick, 2014 is the most cited article". Citation, Co-citation, and co-occurrence analysis of authors indicate that Snyder, J., Burtch, G., Schwienbacher, A., Lambert, T., Beleflamme, P., Catalini, C., Goldfarb. A., and Agrawal, A. are the prominent authors in the field. Bibliographic coupling of sources suggests that the journal "Sustainability" (20) leads in publications, followed by "Technological Forecasting and Social Change" (16). Moreover, a co-occurrence analysis of author keywords reveals that the keywords which frequently occur around donation-based crowdfunding are "Social Media," "Entrepreneurship," "Entrepreneurial Finance," "Social Capital," and "Fundraising." Finally, the citation analysis of the country of publications shows that the United States leads in the number of publications (187), followed by China (89).Vijaya .Himendu Prakash Mathur

https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/purushartha/article/view/12595
Investors’trading activities are influenced by their financial attitudes. Even though existing research has recognized and investigated their relationship, behavioral assessments and financial attitude still poses questions. Furthermore, there is a lack of evidence about the trading activity of retail investors in the instance of a health crisis, like COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of study is to fill in the gaps in the existing literature by studying the relative impact of five dimensions of financial attitude on trading activity of retail investors’during the pandemic. We have used five dimensions to measure financial attitude such as financial anxiety, optimism of investors, financial security, self-control, and the need for precautionary savings. We collected 512 responses from retail investors with the help of a structured questionnaire. We analyzed financial attitude and trading activity using SEM to establish the structural relationship. The observed findings disclosed that self-control is the dominant variable followed by financial security, need for precautionary savings, financial anxiety, and optimism.Bushra .Shalini SrivastavAsheesh Pandey

https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/purushartha/article/view/12596
Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC) has been a topic of great interest among the supply chain researchers for decades now. Collaboration among channel-partners is imperative for successful supply chain management and may be the most critical core competency for enhancing the supply chain performance. This paper examines the various SCC frameworks and their development through a bibliometric analysis of the SCC literature published under the Web of Science (WoS) database in the last twenty years from 2003 to 2022 (including early access for January, 2022) comprising of 4249 research articles. The analysis and graphical visualization of the bibliometric data is presented using measures of descriptive statistics and visualization tools identifying the linkages between the published literature. This study analyses the distribution of the publications based on the research author analysis, most cited publications analysis, publication source analysis, country-wise literature analysis and the keywords co-occurrence analysis. The study also examines the most cited researches on SCC in last two decades and attempts to collate the major developments in the SCC knowledgebase. This research corroborates the enormity of the research conducted in the past and accentuates the ever-growing significance of collaboration in the supply chains for future researchers and businesses worldwide. On an average more than two hundred articles are published every year on SCC and the time-series forecasts reaffirm its progressiveness and relevance as a research domain more than ever engaging researchers and business organisation across the globe. The systematically collated data of top twenty most cited articles, authors, journals, keyword and countries involved in SCC research has been prepared which will provide a source of practical reference for the early supply chain researchers and professionals globally.Veeresh TripathiKartikeya SinghShwetank PariharSaurabh Kumar Srivastava

https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/purushartha/article/view/12597
Drawing on the search experience, the study investigates the impact of Over-the-top Services on their intention to continuous subscription. It investigates the mediation of search experience on the linkage between Over-the-top Services (OTT) and intention to continuous subscription. Moreover, study examines the Moderated Mediation effect of screen watching time (first moderator) and device (second moderator) in the relationship of Over-the-top Services, Intention to Continuous Subscription, and Search Experience. An online survey was used to collect the responses and 405 responses were considered for the study. The analysis shows that OTTservices has a significant impact on its user search experience which in turn also has strong and positive impact on the intention to continuous subscription by its users. It was also discovered that the screen watching time as its role of two way interaction has significant moderating effect between OTTservice and search experience relationship and search experience and intention to continuous subscription relationship. The three-way interaction between device and screen watching time in the mediation model was analysed & found strong support in the relationship between OTTservices and search experience and search experience & intention to continuous subscription. This is one of the few paper to check the inter-relationship between OTTservices, intention to continuous subscription and search experience. The three-way interaction between mediation model and screen watching time (first moderator) and device (second moderator) is studied for the first time in the literature therefore the findings will originate the value with novelty and important implications to the OTTconsumers, and content providers.Shefali JaiswalAnurag Singh

https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/purushartha/article/view/12598
The present study examined the role of cognitive emotion-regulation strategies in acculturative stress and spiritual well-being of international students. Measures of Cognitive Emotion-Regulation, Acculturative Stress, and Spiritual Well-Being (measured in terms of religious wellbeing and existential wellbeing) were administered on a sample of 100 female international students living in Varanasi. The findings showed that maladaptive emotion regulation strategies were associated with greater acculturative stress and lower spiritual well-being while adaptive emotion regulation strategies were associated with lower acculturative stress and higher spiritual well-being. Furthermore, stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed to explore the predictive role of emotion regulation on acculturative stress and spiritual well-being. Acculturative stress was positively predicted by ‘rumination’and ‘blaming others’, and negatively predicted by ‘positive refocusing’. The use of ‘acceptance’strategy positively predicted religious well-being while ‘blaming others’negatively predicted religious well-being. Existential well-being was positively predicted by ‘positive reappraisal’and negatively predicted by ‘catastrophizing’and ‘putting into perspective’. Consistent with previous studies in this area, the present findings suggest that emotion regulation may have definite role in intercultural adjustment of international students. Results are discussed in light of existing research and their implications are outlined.Purnima AwasthiMadhurima MukherjeeNamita SrivastavaSanjay Saxena

https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/purushartha/article/view/12599
India is a developing country and in ordered to achieve our goals we have to strengthen our higher education system. The continuing growth of the middle class in India (approximately 200 million people) has led to increased demand for higher education and we know that this demand cannot be met very easily by the Indian Higher Education system. Although the Indian government is planning to establish new universities and colleges in the near future, these will not be enough to provide places for all students who seek higher education. If we think that what India will be like 25 years from now, we can estimate quantitatively with a fair degree of confidence in some areas.Ever since the establishment of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) it has been involved in evaluating the performance of the Universities and Colleges in the Country. The main philosophy of NAAC is based on objective and continuous improvement rather than being punitive or judgmental, so that all institutions of higher learning are empowered to maximize their resources, opportunities and capabilities. Across India there are few states who have taken up initiatives to go for Accreditation with the support of the government and higher education Council. Among these states Karnataka is one such state where more number of higher education Institutions have been accredited across different cycles. There are many factors which contributes for the institutions to have high cumulative grade point average and also grades. In this paper an attempt is being made to find out how location and source of funding influences on the accreditation status of higher education Institutions in Karnataka.Mahantesh M KuriVishal Chenraj Jain

2022-06-252022-06-25150213914610.21844/16202115208The Quest for Creativity: Insights from Indian Wisdom
https://myresearchjournals.com/index.php/purushartha/article/view/12600
The importance of Creativity is often highlighted in modern organizations especially when it comes to problem solving and decision making, leadership and motivation. However, the concept of creativity, qualitative in its essence, when used abundantly in a techno-economic and managerial context becomes limited in scope and outcome because of the constant pressures of quantitative parameters like profits and turnover. The present paper is an attempt to liberate this lowly circumscribed notion of creativity and explore its higher, wider and deeper connotations for all round development of the individuals in modern organizations. It tries to reveal pertinent insights into multiple dimensions of creativity primarily from classical wisdom literature of India, both ancient as well as modern, from the Upanishads, the Bhagavadgita and Shri Shri Chandi to the messages of modern-day seers like Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda and Sri Aurobindo.Sanjoy Mukherjee
