Abstract

Literature and film seems to be two different domains of modern life but modern researches have proved that films have completed the mission of literature more successfully. If the world of literature is based on the word and its articulations, the world of film is enlivened by the moving image. Both literature and film aim at entertainment and edification. If literature in its variegated forms such as poetry, drama, fiction etc. presents life in different shades with the tools of words in most imaginative manner and presents the reality of life and world, film animates life and its situations with the art of camera and cinematography. Thus, what literature tries to visualize through articulation of words, film does through the art of camera, in this sense, film has more vintage points to score over literature.
